Overview
The purpose of this grant is to support the start of new classes or continuation of existing classes that center and serve communities in need of more accessible and inclusive movement activities and spaces. This can include but is not limited to communities connected by race, gender identity, religion, culture, language, body size, disability, income, age, or life experience.
Grant Award:
$500 personal compensation, and mentorship from The Movement Foundation Professional Community.

Eligibility
To apply, applicants must:
Be a certified (or comparably trained) movement instructor with a minimum 4 months experience teaching group classes.
Offer an upcoming or existing movement-based class that intentionally centers and supports a community in need of more accessible and inclusive movement.
Note: Grantees can be awarded 1 grant per 12 month period.

Note: This grant supports both existing classes already in progress, and the start of new classes. This can include a future class only able to occur if awarded the grant. This is an opportunity for potential applicants to identify a community in need of more accessible and inclusive movement, and outline a class they could provide if awarded this grant.
