Movement is essential to our existence. It strengthens our heart, lungs, bones, and muscles. It improves our physical, mental, and emotional health. It fuels our bodies and our minds.

 

Movement is so many things. It is dancing, swimming, walking, running, climbing, biking, lifting, surfing, skating, and so much more!

Movement is healthcare. It is a right and a necessity. But not everyone has access to it.

Let's Talk About Accessibility.

Having access to movement means having:

PHYSICAL LOCATIONS 

Nearby spaces and places like sidewalks, trails, pools, parks, gyms, rec centers, or space in your home.

FINANCIAL RESOURCES 

Money for clothes, equipment, internet access + devices, a gym membership or class subscription, transportation or childcare.

A SAFE ENVIRONMENT 

Outdoor spaces that are safe to use (away from traffic, well lit and populated, safe from harassment, racism, and crime). Gyms that are clean, well-maintained with safe, inspected equipment.

AN INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT 

Diversity and representation, accommodations for disabilities, respect for all bodies and gender identities.
